The Enigmatic Smile

 

What comes out in your mind when you heard the words “ Enigmatic Smile”? Well if we will know that the woman in the painting “Mona Lisa” by Leonardo Da Vinci was described to have an enigmatic smile then a mysterious smile will come out in our minds. As we kindly look at the painting of Da Vinci the smile of the lady is full of mystery. We don’t know what the lady feels in the painting. We don’t know if it a fake smile or not. We don’t know who’s the woman behind that painting and why did Leonardo painted that and how. Did he ask for the woman? Did he just saw the woman and reminisce her face?

There are lot’s of questions behind Mona Lisa. Since it is really famous all over the world many people are asking about a mystery and that mystery is the smile that was so called “Enigmatic Smile”. For me, whatever the meaning and the feeling of Mona Lisa’s Smile it is still the most precious smile of a lady in the whole world. Leonardo showed how artistic he was in doing this kind of painting and how he showcase a mysterious style of painting.

A Walk with a Hero

Most of the people think that a hero are the ones who fight physically to save a ones country or anything that are harmed. But not all heroes are born to fight. During the great battle between the Filipinos and Spaniards, many katipuneros hurt physically and during that time there are no doctors with the modern technology like what we have in this generation. This hero helped the Filipinos who fight for our country. She helped the cured their sickness. She prepared their foods and other things that they nedd for the battle. This hero was named Melchora Aquino also known as Tandang Sora. Despite of her age she was able to helped a lot in the battle not physically but carefully. If  I was given a chance to meet her, there are a lot of things that I want to say and I want to ask.

It is one afternoon, I just saw myself in a bahay-kubo. I saw an old lady preparing some food. And yes it is Tandang Sora. She talked to me and asked me if I’m okay and yes I’m okay because I saw her. She asked to breathe some fresh air outside so we went outside. She let me saw the places that the battle destroyed. I thought everything was peaceful when I saw their place but it’s not when I saw the destroyed houses, dead body of the people who fought and other unpleasant things caused by the battle. As we continue walking she told me that I’m lucky because I was born in a generation where everything is alright. There are no battles. Yes I think that I’m lucky but if where going to look in our environment I can’t say those words. I told her that I really acknowledge her for helping the katipuneros and I asked her why did she do that. She just have a simple answer. If you really love your country you can fight even though you can’t  do it physically.

A Student’s Inferno

In our everyday life as a student, there are the things that we do without even thinking if it is good or a bad did. There are times that we do some mistakes even though we knew that it is in order to satisfy what we want to do in our life. For being a student in many years, we saw a lot of mistakes that we students do. Base on Dante Alighieri’s “The Divine Comedy” there are circles of hell that people can suffer in every sin that he do. As a student, this sins are mistakes. One of the common mistakes that a student do is Carelessness. Many students just let their things scattered around the room or inside the house without thinking how their parents work so hard to earn the money that they use to buy those things. Another one is Selfishness. Some students are not even thinking how to share or they just do some things that will satisfy them. Permissiveness is another one. Many student nowadays does not follow their teacher or other heads in the school even their parents. They do things that are disordered even they knew it and those who does not follow the rules and regulations in the school. Students that are Dissatisfied of what they have are also common. This students try to have the things the he/she saw from her classmates and even doing everything just to have it. Haughtiness is one of the serious problems about the school nowadays. It often called bullying. Students who have this characteristics are those who like to hurt other student emotionally or physically. Disrespectfulness is a characteristic of a student who does not care about the words that he/she says or the things that he/she do. He does not think if it will affect the impression of a teacher or the other students to him. He usually say bad words that are really disrespectful. The most common and a heavy mistake of a student is Dishonesty. A common form of this mistake is cheating. Other students cheat on exams or other paper activities. If they are not satisfied with their score, they’ll change it for their own good. Just like the Inferno of Alighieri, in every sin there are things that you’ll suffer in order to pay for it. In this case of my Inferno, the mistakes of a student that are careless will be paid. Their things that they will just let to scatter or put in the trash will be paid with a high value. Those who are selfish will not be given a thing that they will ask from those people whom they showed their attitude. Those students who are permissive will be ban to use other school facilities except the ones in their classroom but after the great permission of a teacher while those students who are dissatisfied of what they have will be given a small amount of money by their student as their allowance. Those students who are bully will be automatically ban from all the schools especially if they are the cause of  the death of the one that they bullied. Disrespectful students who will continue to speak bad words until the third warning will be kicked out from the school or he/she can graduate but without the good moral certificate and those students who are dishonest or cheaters will not be allowed to checked their own papers or even sitting beside another student during exams.

BLOG# 3.2

A Soshi Conversation

Jessica: Hey Tiffany! Yuri asked if you’re going to join us later.

Tiffany: Join what?

Jessica: She said that we’re going to have some rest from our everyday work. You know that.

Tiffany: That’s good why not.

Jessica: Okay see you later. Goodbye.

Jessica: Yuri-ah…

Yuri: Yes?

Jessica: I already asked Tiffany about our stress relieving hangout later.

Yuri: Then what did she say?

Jessica: She said, “Why not? “.

Yuri: Wow that’s great. I knew it she will not say no. She said that she loves to hangout.

Yuri: Tiffany!!! I’m calling a couple of times and you’re not answering my phone call. Jessica said that you’re going with us.

Tiffany: Yes I’m going but it’s still 8pm and Jessica said that it will be on 9pm. I still have an hour.

Yuri: What?! “We’re going this 8pm exactly,” I told Jessica.

Tiffany: But…Okay I’ll call her. Is she already there?

Yuri: Not yet but “I’m on my way,” she texted me.

Tiffany: Jessica! you told that we’re going this 9pm and Yuri said that it’s 8pm.

Jessica: Oww yes!! hehhe sorry at first I read 8pm as 9pm. Sorry Fany-ah

Tiffany: Aist Silly girl.. Okay faster I’ll pick you up in your house Yuri is waiting.

Yuri: Hey girls I thought you’ll never come. It’s been an Era.

Tiffany: Hahaha. “I read 8pm as 9pm,” Jessica said

Jessica: Oww yes yes yes. Let’s go!
