Comedy of Errors: a short reaction

The Comedy of Errors is a play written by Shakepeare. The play is about two sets of identical twins separated as infants, and the absurdity surrounding their accidental reunion. Since this play appears early along Shakespeare’s writing timeline, critics tend to dismiss it as his more juvenile work. It seems "textbook" in a way we’re not really used to with Shakespeare – it draws from two earlier classical plays, and has a unity of time, place, and action that only appears once more in Shakespeare’s entire portfolio. The play is definitely full of foolishness and frippery, and that lack of deep content, combined with its "by-the-book" writing, often leads critics to conclude there’s nothing more to this play than Shakespeare working out a couple of his writing kinks as an amateur playwright.

At the first part of the story, I’m wondering how would it be a comedy because of the beginning which is the shipwreck. When I read the whole play I realized that it is really a comedy because of confusing that happens to the characters. When I first heard that this play was written by the famous playwright William Shakespeare, I can’t believe because as I know, most of his plays are all about tragedy or romance. I really like the plot of the story and how that story ended.

National Career Assessment Examination

 Every third year high school students all over the Philippines, take up the National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE). This examination helps us know what is the possible coarse are we going to take up in college base in our interest. It is really important to know if we are really interested into a coarse before taking it up because this will lead us to the job that that we will have in the future. This examination also involves the lessons that we learned in our high school life to know the level of our knowledge about this lessons.

  When the day of our NCAE came, I felt a little bit nervous because this test doesn’t just involve our career assessment but also the name of our school for this examination. I felt so relieved when I realized that the questions are not that hard like in our entrance exam. For the career assessment part of the test, I realized that most of the things that I’m interested with our medicines and accountancy and I’m not that interested about mechanics and engineering.

Intramurals

 Every year, schools and universities in our country are having their Intramurals. This Intramurals helps the students to develop their physical and mental health. It also lets the students show their skills in terms of sports. Teamwork is also tested in the Intramurals and how we communicate with the other players and accept if we loose or we win.

 In an Intramurals or Intrams, it is very important for us to choose the sport that we can really play and we have a confidence to win. We should be physically fit so that we can play the game properly and we will not cause any trouble with regards to  the health especially when playing because it might delay the game. Mental health is also important because if our mind is healthy we can think of the proper tactics for the sport that we will play.

 Intramurals is not just all about the sport. For students like me, it really causes a lot of fan and rest from the every school days. We can also meet new friends especially if they are our teammates.

Mastery of your Mother Tongue

Language is defined as the human capacity for acquiring and using complex systems of communication, and a language is any example of such a system of complex communication. The scientific study of language in any of its senses is called linguistic.  There are lots of different languages in the world.  Among these languages, English language is the most commonly use and the basis of communication but here in our country, there are some issues with regards to the use of our own language and the use of this foreign language.

We all known that using our own language shows the love for our country like what Dr. Jose Rizal said in his quote: “Ang hindi magamahal sa sariling wika ay daig pa ang bulok at malansang isda”. Using our mother tongue helps us to communicate with our fellow Flipino people. This language signifies our country and our nationality. It is the language that was used by our brave heroes and the language where our country started.

English is the so called “Universal Language”. It is the language that we use to communicate with other people not just here in our country but off course in the other countries. This helps in finding a job in a higher level and in other countries but it also has an advantage for those people who can’t totally speak in English because nowadays, English is the basis of knowledge of a person.

As for my opinion it is really important to be fluent with the English language because communication with other country are always done these days. English will be a good help for all of the Filipinos who wants to have a better future . I’m not actually saying that we should not use our own language it is just we are already used with it and if are only going to learn a single language, it will not lead us into the modern world of communication. Everything changes and these changes says that in this modern world, we should not think that using other language shows a despite  in our own country.
